A freelance web developer in Noida typically charges ₹25,000 to ₹4,00,000 for a website, while Noida web agencies start at about ₹1,20,000, according to Bluelupin's Noida cost guide. By the hour, Indian web developers on Upwork mostly charge $16 to $35. Where the developer lives matters far less than whether they can show you live sites like yours, put the scope in writing and hand over every login.
I'm Mohit Goyal, a freelance web developer in Gurugram. One of my first roles was at Brand Samosa in Noida, building WordPress and Webflow landing pages with Elementor and wiring up HubSpot forms for lead capture. Since then I've shipped 100+ sites in 4+ years for clients in India, the UK and the US. Below: what Noida and Greater Noida businesses should expect to pay, how to vet a freelancer, and whether paying extra for "local" makes sense.
How much does a freelance web developer in Noida charge?
A freelance web developer in Noida charges ₹25,000 to ₹4,00,000 per project. Basic e-commerce stores start around ₹50,000. The range is wide because the Noida market covers everyone from students reselling templates to senior developers building custom stores. Here are the published numbers:
| Project type | Typical Noida price | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Basic e-commerce store | ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000 | Navpatra |
| Larger e-commerce store | ₹2,00,000 to ₹5,00,000 | Navpatra |
| WordPress website (any provider) | ₹40,000 to ₹3,50,000 | Bluelupin |
| Freelancer, any project | ₹25,000 to ₹4,00,000 | Bluelupin |
| Agency, any project | ₹1,20,000 to ₹24,00,000 | Bluelupin |

If you'd rather pay by the hour, Xflowpay's 2026 rate card puts intermediate Indian web developers at ₹1,500 to ₹3,000 an hour and experienced ones at ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 or more.
What moves a Noida quote up or down:
- Custom design vs a theme. Navpatra estimates custom UI and UX work adds 30 to 50% to an e-commerce budget.
- Integrations. Hooking your site up to an ERP, CRM or shipping API can add ₹20,000 to ₹1,00,000, per the same guide.
- Number of unique templates. Ten pages built from three templates cost less than ten one-off layouts.
- Content. If the developer has to write copy, chase photos or migrate hundreds of old posts, that's extra time and extra money.
- Support after launch. Updates, backups and fixes are a separate monthly cost. Get it quoted up front so it doesn't surprise you later.

Very low quotes usually skip something
Some Noida directory listings offer websites for around ₹12,000. That price normally means a stock theme, no custom work and no support. Ask what's left out before you compare it with other quotes.
That ₹12,000 figure comes from IndiaMART's Noida freelance web designer listings. For a one-page placeholder it's fine. For a site that has to bring in leads, I wouldn't risk it.
What do Noida businesses usually need from a website?
Most Noida websites fall into three groups: IT and SaaS marketing sites, exporter and manufacturer catalogues, and coaching institute sites built around enquiries. Noida and Greater Noida have a lot of all three, and they need quite different things.
IT and SaaS firms in Sector 62 and 63. These need a marketing site the sales and marketing team can update without raising a ticket, plus campaign landing pages with proper GA4 and Tag Manager tracking. It usually comes down to Next.js or WordPress. Which one is right depends on who'll edit the site and how much custom functionality it needs.
Exporters and manufacturers. Buyers abroad need to browse the catalogue quickly, enquiries need to reach the right person, and sometimes prices have to show in more than one currency. I've built several manufacturer and product-catalogue sites: Orilite for an AAC block and mortar brand, with custom PHP templates and ACF; Nortek LED, a lighting WooCommerce store with product filters; and IPL Biologicals, a WooCommerce store I still look after on a monthly retainer. For selling across currencies, Wow Vastra is the project where I added a currency switcher and worldwide checkout. If you sell internationally, plan multi-currency pricing on WooCommerce from day one. Bolting it on later is messier.
Coaching institutes. Staff need to update course and batch pages themselves, and an enquiry should reach a counsellor in minutes, not days. Junk leads cost real money here. Two lead-capture techniques help, and I've used both in other sectors: on PropAlert, a real estate data platform, I added OTP phone verification to WPForms, and on Taxocity, a tax and compliance firm, every lead lands in a Google Sheet. Neither was a coaching project, but the same approach suits any enquiry form where a counsellor needs a verified number quickly.
How do you vet a freelance web developer in Noida?
The core checks are the same anywhere in India: live sites like yours, a written scope, accounts in your name, milestone payments and agreed support after launch. I cover them step by step in my guide to hiring a freelance web developer in India. In Noida, two things deserve extra attention: whether you're comparing like with like between agencies and freelancers, and how GST invoicing will work.
Sector 62 agency or individual freelancer?
Noida's IT parks are full of agencies, and their quotes often sit well above a freelancer's for what looks like the same site. Here's how they usually differ:
| Factor | Noida agency | Individual freelancer |
|---|---|---|
| Typical project range | ₹1,20,000 to ₹24,00,000 (Bluelupin) | ₹25,000 to ₹4,00,000 (Bluelupin) |
| Who you speak to | An account or project manager | The person writing the code |
| Who builds it | In-house team or subcontractors | The freelancer, or a subcontractor (ask) |
| Parallel work | Designers and developers at once | Limited by one person's time |
| GST invoice | Almost always | Only if GST-registered |
When an agency quote is several times a freelancer's, find out what the difference pays for: a dedicated designer, project management and QA, or mostly office overhead. Ask both for the same itemised scope, with pages, templates, integrations and revision rounds, so the numbers actually line up.
What about GST and invoices?
If your company claims input tax credit, ask about GST on the first call. A freelancer who isn't GST-registered can't charge GST, so their invoice gives you no credit to claim. A registered developer adds GST (18% for most IT services), which you can usually claim back. If the developer is outside Uttar Pradesh, say in Gurugram, the invoice carries IGST instead of CGST and SGST, and your credit works the same way. Check the invoice shows your company's legal name and GSTIN correctly, or your accounts team will send it back.
One more check matters more than people think: who owns the domain and hosting. If the developer registers them and then goes quiet, you can be locked out of your own site. Register both under your business email and give the developer access.
No brief yet? My free Project Scope Generator turns a two-line idea into pages, features and a build order. Take that to your first calls and the quotes you get back will actually be comparable.
Does a Noida business need a developer based in Noida?
Usually not. A remote developer in NCR or elsewhere in India gets you the same result, because most website work already runs on video calls, shared staging links and WhatsApp. Here's how the two compare:
| Factor | Local Noida freelancer | Remote freelancer (NCR or elsewhere) |
|---|---|---|
| In-person kickoff | Easy | Possible within NCR, otherwise video |
| Choice of developers | Limited to one city | Much wider |
| Day-to-day communication | Calls and chat | Calls and chat |
| Accountability | Depends on contract and process | Depends on contract and process |
| Time zone | IST | IST if in India |
Go local if your team wants in-person workshops, or if someone on your side will only review work face to face. Otherwise, hire for skill and how quickly they reply, not for the pin code.
Can a Gurugram developer handle a Noida project?
Yes. Gurugram and Noida are the same NCR market, on the same time zone, with the same business problems: junk leads, slow sites, and marketing teams who want to edit pages without waiting on a developer. One of my early roles was an internship at Brand Samosa in Noida.
Remote delivery is normal for me. From Gurugram I delivered nine sites for a London agency, including venue booking pages, a WooCommerce ordering system and hotel websites.
Here's how a project with me runs:
You get a staging link early, so you can watch the site come together instead of waiting for a big reveal at the end. And every account stays in your name.
How long does a freelance website project in Noida take?
It depends on scope more than location: the number of page templates, the integrations and how quickly content arrives. Custom builds take longer than theme-based sites. In my experience it's rarely the coding that holds things up. It's late content and slow feedback rounds, so get your copy and photos ready before the build starts. For timelines by platform, see how long it takes to build a website.
What should you do next?
Write down the one job the site has to do (bring in enquiries, take orders or support a sales team), note two or three sites you like, and run your idea through the Project Scope Generator. Then book a 20-minute discovery call. I'll tell you which platform I'd use, what the build involves and whether I'm the right person for it.
