Website development cost in Gurgaon (2026): prices by type

Website development in Gurgaon (Gurugram) in 2026 costs ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 for a basic one-page or informational site. A business website with custom design costs ₹50,000 to ₹2.5 lakh, a WooCommerce store ₹60,000 to ₹4 lakh, and a custom-coded build starts at about ₹2 lakh. Maintenance adds roughly ₹2,500 to ₹50,000 a month, depending on the site. Every range here comes from a published Gurgaon or India price guide, linked below.

I'm Mohit Goyal, a freelance web developer in Gurugram. I've shipped 100+ sites in 4+ years, mostly WordPress, WooCommerce and Next.js, for clients in India, the UK and the US. When people show me the quotes they've collected, the quotes are rarely for the same project. So I'll give you the Gurgaon market ranges first, then the things that actually move the price, so you can compare like with like.

What is the website development cost in Gurgaon in 2026?

Most business websites in Gurgaon land between ₹50,000 and ₹2.5 lakh in 2026. The full spread runs from about ₹5,000 for an advertised template package to ₹10 lakh or more for a custom-coded build. These are market ranges, not my prices, and each figure links to where it was published.

Site typeTypical market rangeWhat that usually buys
Budget template package (advertised prices)₹4,999 to ₹29,999A ready-made theme with your logo, text and a contact form
One-page or basic informational site₹15,000 to ₹40,000A few sections, mobile layout and an enquiry form, built in 1–2 weeks
Static brochure site, 4–8 pages₹21,000 to ₹25,000, or ₹3,000–₹4,000 a pageFixed pages your team can't easily edit
Business website with custom design and CMS₹50,000 to ₹1,20,000, up to ₹2,50,000 at larger agenciesCustom UI, editable CMS, lead forms and basic SEO
WooCommerce store₹60,000 to ₹1,50,000 for a basic store from a Gurgaon agency, up to ₹4,00,000 overallCatalogue, cart, Razorpay or Stripe checkout and shipping rules
Custom-coded build₹2,00,000 to ₹10,00,000+ for custom-coded builds; headless stores ₹4,00,000 to ₹8,00,000+A custom frontend, server rendering, APIs and a component library
Monthly maintenance₹2,500 to ₹8,000 for a small WordPress site; ₹15,000 to ₹50,000 for a storeUpdates, backups, security checks and small edits

WordPress is the build I get asked about most, and I've broken its cost down further in WordPress website cost in India. If you're still choosing a platform, see Next.js website cost vs WordPress. For build times by site type, see how long it takes to build a website.

Why do Gurgaon quotes range from ₹4,999 to several lakh?

Gurgaon quotes range from ₹4,999 to several lakh because they're quotes for different products. One Gurgaon agency's own pricing guide says a site under ₹25,000 usually means "a template with your logo swapped in", with no custom design and no SEO groundwork. As a placeholder while you sort out the rest of the business, that's fine. If the site is meant to bring in leads, it usually won't.

Per-page pricing hides the same problem. "₹3,000 a page" could be a plain text page or a product template with filters, and those are very different amounts of work. Before you put two quotes side by side, ask each bidder to list the templates, integrations and content they're actually including.

What makes a website cost more?

Five things push the price up more than anything else: custom Figma design, integrations, content, speed targets and custom features. The platform matters less than most people expect.

Custom design from Figma. Matching a designer's layouts exactly on mobile, tablet and desktop takes longer than dropping content into a ready-made theme. Many of my builds start from a client's Figma file. Nortek LED and Orilite were both built that way, on Oxygen Builder. No design yet? Budget for one. I work with design partners who design in Figma before I build.

Integrations. Each connection to another system is its own piece of work: a payment gateway, HubSpot, a Google Sheet, SMS OTP, accounting software. WebSenor's Gurgaon guide lists third-party API integrations as a main cost driver and says a multilingual site adds 20–30%. I've wired OTP phone verification into WPForms for PropAlert and sent every Taxocity lead into a Google Sheet. Features like that should show up in a quote as their own lines, not get buried under "development".

Content. Who writes the copy? Who photographs the products? Who enters 300 products into the store? If the quote doesn't say, assume it's you. On a WooCommerce store, the number of products and variants changes the price more than the platform does. I've broken that down in WooCommerce website cost in India.

Speed targets. To pass Core Web Vitals, a page needs a Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds, INP under 200 ms and CLS under 0.1. Getting there means compressed images, fewer plugins, fonts loaded with care and proper caching. It takes time, and I think it's money well spent. The Wow Vastra WooCommerce store I worked on loads in 1.5 seconds. If your current site is slow, my free Page Speed Fix Planner turns a PageSpeed report into a ranked list of fixes.

Custom features. When no plugin does what you need, someone has to write the code. Think delivery radius checks, receipt printing or a document generator. Custom plugins cost more upfront, but they replace a pile of generic plugins that each need updating.

Freelancer, agency or Gurgaon IT-park firm: who should you hire?

For a WordPress, WooCommerce or marketing site with a clear scope, an experienced freelancer is usually the best value in Gurgaon. The bigger IT-park firms earn their fees on complex web apps that need a project manager, QA and compliance paperwork.

OptionTypical ratesBest forWatch out for
Freelance developerWeb developers charge ₹800–₹1,500/hr at beginner level, ₹1,500–₹3,000 at intermediate level and ₹3,000–₹4,000+ when experiencedWordPress, WooCommerce and marketing sites with a clear scope, where you want to talk directly to the person writing the codeEverything depends on one person. Ask about handover and backup cover
Small local agencyPackage or per-page pricing, often ₹3,000–₹4,000 a pageStandard brochure sites on a tight budgetTemplates sold as "custom", and junior staff doing the build
Larger IT-park firmTime-and-material billing at ₹80,000–₹1,20,000 per senior developer per monthComplex web apps and portals that need a project manager, QA and compliance paperworkYou pay for overheads. A small marketing site rarely needs a five-person team

The same Gurgaon guide says a team made up mostly of juniors might quote ₹80,000 for a project a senior-only team would price at ₹3,00,000. If the cheap version has to be rebuilt a year later, you've paid twice.

My own setup sits somewhere between a freelancer and an agency. I build the site myself, and when a project needs more hands I bring in a trusted team for design, mobile apps and Shopify. You still deal with one person: me. Whoever you shortlist, ask about handover, code ownership and who covers if they're ill or busy. My checklist for hiring a freelance web developer in India covers the rest.

How much does website maintenance cost per month?

Website maintenance in India costs about ₹2,500 to ₹8,000 a month for a basic WordPress site and ₹15,000 to ₹50,000 a month for an e-commerce store in 2026, according to Aarav Infotech. The same source says cleaning up a hacked WordPress site usually costs ₹20,000 to ₹50,000 (more on that in what hacked-site cleanup costs), so skipping updates to save a few thousand a month is a bad trade.

I've run a monthly maintenance retainer for IPL Biologicals since 2025. It covers new pages such as the Grow Organic sub-brand, catalogue and price updates, and help running the WooCommerce store. Whoever you hire, the retainer should spell out what's included each month. For the full breakdown by site type, see my post on WordPress maintenance cost in India.

What hidden costs should you budget for?

The main hidden costs of a Gurgaon website are domain and hosting, store running costs, premium plugin licences, 18% GST and content. Most of them sit outside the build quote.

What have scoped projects delivered?

A site with a clear scope gives you something you can actually measure after launch. The figures below were reported by clients and post-launch analytics on specific projects I built from Gurugram. They're results from those projects, not typical outcomes or a promise for yours:

+20%

Conversion rate uplift after the Nortek LED store launch

40%

Faster page loads reported on IIID Inscape

40%

Less time on content updates reported by Orilite

1.5 s

Wow Vastra store load time

I built the Nortek LED WooCommerce store from Figma, with advanced product filters and an optimised checkout. After launch, analytics showed a 20% rise in conversion rate, 30% longer sessions and 35% faster loads. On the IIID Inscape publication site, I turned a static magazine site into WordPress using custom post types and ACF, and the client reported 40% faster page loads, 25% more engagement and 50% quicker publishing. In both cases the brief said exactly what the site had to do. That's the part the cheapest quotes tend to skip.

How do you get website quotes you can actually compare?

Send every bidder the same written scope: the pages, the integrations, who handles design and content, a speed target and payment milestones. Here's how I'd put it together:

  1. 1

    Write a one-page scope

List the pages, the main things visitors need to do and what success looks like. The free Project Scope Generator on my site turns a two-line idea into a structured scope you can send to every bidder.

  2. 2

    Name every integration

Payment gateway, CRM, Google Sheets, WhatsApp, OTP, accounting. Each one is real work, so each should be its own line in the quote.

  3. 3

Say who handles design and content

Tell bidders whether you have a Figma file, a reference site or nothing yet, and who writes the copy and supplies the photos.

  4. 4

    Set a speed target

Ask for passing Core Web Vitals on mobile in writing, not a vague promise that the site will be fast.

  5. 5

Ask for fixed milestones and exclusions

Get a fixed price for each milestone, a list of what's excluded, whether GST is included, and confirmation that the domain, hosting and admin logins are in your name.

Start with the free Project Scope Generator. If you're unsure which technology to use, the Tech Stack Advisor gives you a second opinion.

Frequently asked

How much does a basic website cost in Gurgaon in 2026?+

Published local price guides put a basic one-page or informational website in Gurgaon at ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 in 2026. Advertised template packages start lower, at around ₹5,000 to ₹30,000, but that usually means a ready-made theme with your logo added.

Is a freelance web developer cheaper than an agency in Gurgaon?+

Usually, yes, because you aren't paying for account managers and office overheads. An experienced freelancer is a good fit for WordPress, WooCommerce and marketing sites with a clear scope. Larger Gurgaon firms make more sense for complex web apps that need a full team.

Why is per-page website pricing misleading?+

Because one page might be plain text and another a complex template with filters and integrations, and those take very different amounts of work. Before comparing quotes, ask every bidder to list the templates, integrations and content they're including.

How long does it take to build a website in Gurgaon?+

It depends on scope. A basic site is quicker than a business website with custom design, and an online store usually takes longest because of the catalogue and integrations. Having the scope, design and content ready before the build starts is what keeps a timeline short.

Do website development quotes in India include GST?+

Not always. Most web development services in India carry 18% GST once the provider is GST-registered, so check whether each quote includes it before you compare prices.

Should I choose WordPress or Next.js for my business website?+

WordPress suits most business websites and WooCommerce stores where your team edits content often. Next.js suits marketing sites and web apps that need top speed and custom features, and it costs more to build. Headless WordPress with a Next.js frontend gives you WordPress editing with Next.js speed.
