A 10–15 page business website in Delhi NCR is typically quoted at ₹45,000 to ₹2,00,000, while India-wide prices start at ₹15,000 to ₹50,000 for a basic 5–10 page site, rise to ₹30,000 to ₹1,50,000 for a site with a CMS and blog, and reach ₹50,000 to ₹5,00,000 for an online store, all before 18% GST (GIT Infosys 2026 price table). After launch, budget about ₹6,300 a year for the domain and hosting, plus maintenance if someone looks after the site for you.
I'm Mohit Goyal, a web developer in Gurugram, in Delhi NCR. In 4+ years I've shipped 100+ sites on WordPress, WooCommerce and Next.js. Many quotes are a single number with no list of pages or features, which is why two Delhi quotes for "a website" can be ₹1 lakh apart. What matters is the scope. So below I break the cost down by business type, by platform, and by the bills that turn up after launch.
What is the website development cost in Delhi in 2026?
In 2026, a website in India costs anywhere from ₹8,000–₹40,000 for a landing page to ₹1,50,000–₹10,00,000 for a custom web app, before 18% GST. Delhi NCR quotes for a 10–15 page business site run ₹45,000–₹2,00,000.
These ranges come from one Indian agency's published 2026 table. Other guides, such as Akoode's and FactoryJet's, land in much the same bands.
| Website type | What you get | Price (before GST) | Build time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page | One long page built to collect enquiries | ₹8,000–₹40,000 | 3–10 days |
| Basic business site | 5–10 pages: Home, About, Services, Contact | ₹15,000–₹50,000 | 1–3 weeks |
| Site with CMS and blog | 10–25 pages you can edit yourself | ₹30,000–₹1,50,000 | 3–6 weeks |
| Online store | Catalogue, cart, payments, order dashboard | ₹50,000–₹5,00,000 | 4–10 weeks |
| Custom web app | Portals, booking systems, dashboards | ₹1,50,000–₹10,00,000 | 2–6 months |

The same source puts a 10–15 page business site in Delhi NCR at ₹45,000–₹2,00,000. FactoryJet says ₹60,000–₹2,00,000 for the region. Freelancers usually charge 30 to 50 percent less than companies. One Delhi agency, MarketingPulse, publishes fixed packages: ₹20,000 for a 4–6 page site and from ₹52,500 for a store.

What should a clinic, CA firm, exporter, restaurant or coaching centre budget?
A Delhi clinic or restaurant can start at ₹15,000. A CA firm or exporter usually needs ₹30,000 or more for a CMS site, and a coaching centre with student logins can go up to ₹10,00,000. Your type of business mostly decides which row of the table you land in.
Here are my rules of thumb, using the ranges from the table above.
| Business | What the site usually needs | Likely type | Typical range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clinic | Doctor profiles, services, timings, map, call and WhatsApp buttons, appointment request form | Basic or CMS | ₹15,000–₹1,50,000 |
| CA firm | A page per service (GST, ITR, audit, company registration), enquiry forms, a blog for deadlines | CMS | ₹30,000–₹1,50,000 |
| Exporter or manufacturer | Product catalogue, spec sheets, request-a-quote form, sometimes a second language | CMS, or a store without a cart | ₹30,000–₹5,00,000 |
| Restaurant | Menu, photos, table reservations, maybe your own online ordering | Basic to store | ₹15,000–₹5,00,000 |
| Coaching centre | Course and batch pages, fee details, lead forms, maybe a student login | CMS to web app | ₹30,000–₹10,00,000 |
A few examples from my own work:
- CA and tax firms. I built the site for Taxocity, a tax and compliance firm, on WordPress with Bricks Builder, and set it up so every lead lands in a Google Sheet. My guide to CA firm website cost in India goes into more detail.
- Manufacturers and exporters. For Orilite, an AAC block brand, I turned a Figma design into custom PHP templates on Oxygen Builder and ACF. The client reported 25% faster load times and 40% less time spent on content updates. The IPL Biologicals WooCommerce store is another one. See manufacturing website cost in India for more.
- Coaching and courses. For CyberVie I built the Upskill Ionots learning portal, with custom course pages on Elementor Pro and ACF.
- Property. For PropAlert I wired OTP phone verification into the WPForms enquiry forms. Real estate website cost in India covers the features and price.
- Restaurants. Your own ordering site only beats Zomato and Swiggy commission once you take enough orders. I run the numbers in restaurant ordering website vs Zomato and Swiggy.
How should a Delhi business set up locality pages?
Build one strong page per service, and add a locality page only where you have a branch or genuinely serve clients, each with its own address, team, photos and reviews. A clinic with branches in Dwarka and Rohini should have a page for each branch. A CA firm that serves clients across Delhi rarely needs 40 near-identical "CA in [area]" pages: Google treats those as doorway pages and can demote them. Match each branch page to its own Google Business Profile, and keep the name, address and phone number identical on both. Ask any developer you hire how they'll plan this before the build starts.
WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify or Next.js: which costs what?
In India, a WordPress site costs ₹25,000–₹1,50,000 to build, Shopify ₹30,000–₹2,00,000, WooCommerce ₹50,000–₹4,00,000 and a custom Next.js build ₹1,50,000–₹10,00,000+. The platform changes the build fee and also what you pay every month once the site is live.
| Platform | Build cost in India | Running cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress (Elementor, Bricks) | ₹25,000–₹1,50,000 | Hosting from ₹149/month, renewing at ₹449, plus plugin licences | Clinics, CA firms, coaching centres, most service businesses |
| WooCommerce | ₹50,000–₹4,00,000 | Hosting, plugin licences, payment gateway at about 2% per sale | Stores that need custom rules and full ownership |
| Shopify | ₹30,000–₹2,00,000 | Basic plan ₹1,499/month billed yearly, a 2% fee on third-party gateways, 18% GST on Shopify charges | Product brands that want a low-maintenance store |
| Custom (Next.js, React) | ₹1,50,000–₹10,00,000+ | Low-cost hosting on Vercel or Cloudflare, but changes need a developer | Startups, SaaS and high-traffic marketing sites |
Shopify also has a ₹399/month Starter plan. It charges a 5% transaction fee on Shopify Payments, though, so it gets expensive fast once sales pick up.
For most Delhi small businesses I'd pick WordPress, built on Bricks, Elementor or Oxygen. It's cheap to host and your staff can edit it. And if your developer moves on, there are plenty of people in the city who can pick it up. Next.js earns its extra cost when speed and scale really matter, or when you're building a product. If you're selling online, my guide to WooCommerce website cost in India breaks store pricing down further, and my WooCommerce stores service shows what I build.
What hidden costs come after launch?
After launch you pay every year for the domain, hosting and business email, and often for plugin licences and a maintenance plan too. From year two, a basic site's domain and hosting alone cost about ₹6,300 a year before GST. This is where a cheap quote stops being cheap.
GIT Infosys lists the costs that usually get left out of build quotes:
| Cost | Typical price | How often |
|---|---|---|
| Domain (.com or .in) | ₹800–₹1,500 | Every year |
| Web hosting | ₹3,000–₹25,000 | Every year |
| SSL certificate | Free–₹5,000 (free is fine for most sites) | Every year |
| Business email | About ₹1,500 per user | Every year |
| Premium theme and plugins | ₹3,000–₹25,000 | Once or yearly |
| Content writing | ₹1,500–₹5,000 per page | Once |
| Maintenance plan | ₹1,500–₹20,000 a month | Monthly |
Source: GIT Infosys.
Keep an eye on renewal prices. BigRock sells a .in domain for ₹549 in the first year and ₹899 a year after that. Hostinger's Premium shared hosting is listed at ₹149 a month but renews at ₹449; check the current price on Hostinger's own pricing page before you buy. Do the maths (₹449 × 12 + ₹899) and a basic site's hosting and domain come to about ₹6,300 a year before GST from year two, even if year one looked almost free.
Maintenance is the cost people skip. It's also what keeps plugins patched and a WordPress site out of hackers' hands. I cover what a fair plan includes in WordPress maintenance cost in India, and I run monthly maintenance retainers and hosting migrations.
Register the domain yourself
If a developer registers your domain or hosting on their own account, you can't move or fix your site without them. Ask for it in your name before any work starts.
When is a ₹15,000 website enough?
A ₹15,000 website is enough for a 4–6 page site that takes no online payments, as long as you own the domain and hosting. It works when all of these are true:
- You need 4–6 pages, and most enquiries come by phone, WhatsApp or referral.
- You don't take payments or bookings on the site.
- The domain, hosting and admin login are all in your name.
- It's built on a standard, licensed WordPress theme your staff can edit.
A clinic serving one Delhi locality or a new CA practice can run happily on that for a couple of years.
Where a ₹15,000 site ends up costing more is when the business outgrows what it was built for. The common problems are:
- You want to rank for every service in every locality (Dwarka, Rohini, Saket and so on). That needs a proper page structure, and template sites rarely have one.
- You add online fees, bookings or a catalogue, and the theme can't cope.
- A heavy page builder setup fails Core Web Vitals on mobile, which is the kind of problem my technical SEO and Core Web Vitals service fixes.
- The developer stops replying, and the hosting is on their account.
Fixing any of these usually means a redesign. You pay for the site a second time, plus redirect work so you don't lose your rankings. My guide to website redesign cost in India covers what that costs.
How long does a website take to build?
A basic website takes 1–3 weeks, a CMS site 3–6 weeks, an online store 4–10 weeks and a custom web app 2–6 months, going by the market timelines. There's more detail in how long it takes to build a website.
Two data points from my own work: I built and launched the Raasa Restaurant coming-soon page overnight. The main build of the IPL Biologicals WooCommerce store and corporate site ran from September to December 2023.
What slows most projects down isn't the code. It's waiting on content: photos, service descriptions, doctor bios, price lists. Have those ready on day one and you'll save weeks.
What should you ask a developer before you pay?
Before you pay a web developer in Delhi, get a written scope, make sure the domain and hosting are in your name, and check plugin licences, a speed target, GST and support terms.
- 1
Get the scope in writing
A list of every page, form, integration and feature. If two quotes are more than double apart, compare scopes, not totals.
- 2
Confirm who owns what
Domain, hosting, WordPress admin and Google Analytics should be in your name and on your email, with the developer added as a user.
- 3
Ask about themes and plugins
Which ones, whether they are licensed, and who pays the yearly renewals. Nulled premium plugins are a common source of malware.
- 4
Agree a speed target
Ask for the mobile PageSpeed Insights report at handover and a pass on Core Web Vitals for the main pages.
- 5
Check GST and support terms
Is 18% GST included? How many revision rounds? What does support cover after launch, and for how long?
For more checks, see hiring a freelance web developer in India. No scope yet? My free Project Scope Generator turns a two-line idea into a list of pages and features you can send to any developer. Once the site is live, the free Page Speed Fix Planner turns a PageSpeed report into a fix list in plain English.
How do you get an accurate quote for your website?
Give the developer a list of pages, what each page should do and your budget band. That's it. Note whether each page is there to get a call, a booking, a sale or an enquiry, and pick your band from the tables above. Then send it to me or book a 20-minute call. I'll tell you which platform fits and what the scope should include, so you can compare any other quote you get like for like.
