Challenge

The main build ran from January to March 2023, with the freelance engagement continuing through 2023. CyberVie offered security services and training from an outdated static site that was hard to update and did not present their courses well. The team had UI designs ready but no way to turn them into pages they could manage. Alongside the main site, Ionots, the training arm connected to CyberVie, needed a dedicated learning portal. Prospective students had to be able to browse courses in data science, AI and cybersecurity, read syllabi and enrol. The goal was two sites the team could run without touching code.

Approach

The stack was WordPress, Elementor Pro, Advanced Custom Fields, PHP and SEO. Elementor Pro suited the service pages, where layouts vary and marketing needs to adjust them. Advanced Custom Fields suited the courses, where every entry has the same structure and consistency matters more than freedom. Splitting the two that way meant marketing pages stayed flexible and course pages stayed uniform. Backups and security were set up as part of the build, which for a cybersecurity company is table stakes.

Solution

Working from the client-provided UI designs, I rebuilt cybervie.com on WordPress with Elementor Pro for flexible layouts and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) so the team could manage content without code. I redesigned the homepage and built landing pages for their services: VAPT, SOC as a Service, DFIR and training. I applied on-page SEO, tuned performance and set up backups and security. For Upskill.Ionots.com I modelled each course with Advanced Custom Fields, covering duration, modules, instructors, pricing and call-to-action blocks, so the team fills in a template rather than designing a page. I handled the responsive layout, cross-browser testing and performance tuning.

Results

The client reported better engagement and much simpler content management after launch. The founder of CyberVie wrote that I consistently deliver projects before deadlines and with excellent quality. The team can now update service pages in Elementor Pro and add a course by filling in fields. The main site is live at cybervie.com; the upskill subdomain is no longer online.
